Blue Bear

A couple of old pictures of William and Blue Bear...

Many of you know, and some may not, that Blue Bear has been a very vital part of our family for almost the past 5 years now. He has been William's "best" friend ever since he was a baby. We don't know who gave us Blue Bear when William was born, but we are forever grateful. For several years now, Blue Bear has gone everywhere William goes. To church, to school, to bed, to Walmart, on trips, in the car... well, you see what I mean! He has been lost many times, even overnight at Lowes in Jonesboro, Arkansas and for several days at Chick-Fil-A in Birmingham, Alabama! Once we tracked him down at Chick-Fil-A, the owner was so kind to overnight him back to us and wouldn't let us pay him! Well, over the course of time, wear and tear, many surgeries, and much love, we have finally decided to let Blue Bear have a rest! So, for the first night we talked William into sleeping without his precious Blue Bear, he decided that Margaret Anne could sleep with it! I thought that was extremely sweet and giving to let his baby sister sleep with his special friend if he couldn't. Now, William has slept for a few weeks without him and we are so proud of our big boy!

We are so proud of William - what a wonderful big brother... If no one else will claim it, we can pretend we gave William Blue Bear. Just kidding - I couldn't take that from the true miracle-gift-giver. Hope y'all are doing well. I'm sorry I never called you back. Hope to see you soon!!
